Indiana has 92 counties, each with its own county assessor responsible for valuing property for tax purposes. Property types include residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial parcels.
Indiana uses a market-value-in-use assessment standard, meaning properties are assessed based on their current use value rather than highest-and-best-use value. The Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) oversees assessment standards statewide.
Our dataset combines parcel geometry from the Indiana Geographic Information Office (IGIO), statewide assessment data from the DLGF gateway file, and detailed building characteristics from 39 county CAMA systems.
